The National Arts Centre was established in 1967 as part of Canada's centennial celebrations. Thanks to its remarkable facilities, the National Arts Centre has become one of Canada's premier performance venues! 
 
The National Arts Centre consists of four main spaces: the Opera House (now Southam Hall), the Theatre, the Studio Experimental Hall and the Fourth Stage.
 
The total capacity of the Centre is 3,670 seats and the majority of the performances are live.
