Blur is the name of an English rock band. Originally called Seymour, Blur was formed in London in 1989 by singer Damon Albarn, guitarist Graham Coxon and bassist Alex James, with drummer Dave Rowntree in the line-up.
 
They are best known for the hit single "Song 2" in the U.S., but elsewhere, the band has enjoyed runaway success that has extended far beyond, with multiple hits in Europe throughout their existence as a band.
