Les Misérables will be presented at the
Québec City Capitol Theatre starting June 27, 2008. The musical, inspired by the Victor Hugo’s novel, will be an entirely new production and will be presented for the first time in
Québec City.
Jean Pilote, owner and general director of the
Québec City Capitol Theatre, has obtained exclusive rights in order to produce Les Misérables in French. This show will be created and produced by an entirely new team from
Québec. Over 50 artists (singers, musicians and actors) will be on stage and featured in more than 350 different costumes.
Holding appearences in London for 22 years now, and considered the third most important musical of all time on Broadway, Les Misérables has been translated in more than 21 languages and was presented in 38 different countries, counting a grand total of 38,000 performances. Furthermore, it has been awarded over 50 prestigious prizes.
