British rock band Wire is coming to Montréal on April 2nd, 2011, for a concert at Cabaret Mile-End.

Wire will release its 12th studio album, entitled Red Barked Tree, on January 11th, 2011.

Formed in 1976 by lead singer and guitarist Colin Newman,  guitarist Bruce Gilbert (who left the band since), bassist Graham Lewis and drummer Robert Gotobed, Wire is widely considered one of the primary figures of the post-punk movement.
